Governance
Our Governors play a very important role at Whitings Hill. The key roles involve:
-
Overseeing the financial performance of the schools and making sure their money is well spent.
-
Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the schools and their pupils.
-
Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
Our Governors work very hard for the development of successful learning at Whitings Hill and there are a variety of times during the school year when you can meet them.
The governing body constitution we have adopted stipulates that the board shall consist of a total of 13 governors and to include:
a) 4 parent governors
b) 1 Local Authority (LA) governor
c) 1 staff governor
d) 6 co-opted governors
e) Headteacher
